IMB-CNM Management receives two international visits in the context of IOTSWC23
A delegation of representatives from Wuxi, a Chinese city where is located one of the most important technology hubs in the country with a high presence of semiconductor companies, led by Gu Guodong; and the president of the Canadian CMC Microsystems, Gordon Harling, have visited IMB-CNM and met with its management team in the last few days.
The Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM, CSIC) has hosted a visit of representatives of the technology hub of Wuxi, a city near Shanghai (China) and known as the "capital of the Internet of Things", where there is a strong implantation of companies in the field of semiconductors. Gu Guodong was the head of the delegation that visited the center.
The January 30 visit was organized by the Digital Catalonia Alliance (in particular, its IoT community) together with the EUPIC (EU Project Innovation Centre), an institution created by the European Commission to assist and facilitate technological collaborations and cooperation between Europe and China.

That same week, on February 3, the president of the Canadian organization CMC Microsystems, Gordon Harling, also visited the IMB-CNM facilities accompanied by ACCIÓ staff, specifically Romain Duprilot (ACCIÓ Canada) and Xavier Bardají (ACCIÓ team in charge of International Promotion and Foreign Partners).
CMC Microsystems is a Canadian non-profit organization that seeks to accelerate research and innovation in advanced technologies. Founded in 1984, CMC reduces barriers to technology adoption by creating and sharing platform technologies, including access to state-of-the-art design, manufacturing and testing capabilities.
The visit to IMB-CNM has been the final point of his stay in Catalonia on the occasion of IoT Week and that has led him to know the Catalan ecosystem of microelectronics and nanotechnology, to be able to do in the future of prescriber before Canadian and American companies with which they already work and that have the possibility of expansion projects and technological collaboration in and with Europe.
