Investigadores e investigadoras del IMB-CNM participan en el Pint of Science 2019
“Pint of Science”, un evento internacional que introduce la ciencia en los bares. Se celebra en 73 ciudades españolas entre los días 20 y 22 de mayo. Barcelona es la ciudad donde más afluencia tiene, si bien habrá citas en muchas otras zonas de Cataluña.

La convocatoria ha premiado un total de 54 científicos/as con el objetivo de reforzar el potencial innovador de su investigación. El proyecto Power-Patch, liderado por la profesora ICREA Neus Sabaté, ha sido una de las propuestas premiadas.
WeCare about sweat
WeCare project: Cognitive-Multisensing Wearable Sweat Biomonitoring Technology for Real-Time Personalized Diagnosis and Preventive Health Care. Biomarkers in human sweat can contain useful information about the physiological state of a person. Currently, however, this information is rarely used. The WeCare project, that recently received a SNSF Sinergia grant, explores how biomarkers in sweat can be used to optimize physical exercise.
Alert system to improve the production of farmed fish
Researchers from the Instituto de Acuicultura Torre de la Sal (IATS-CSIC), the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM) and the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria have developed an intelligent system “AE-FishBIT” for monitoring the behaviour of breeding fishes. The device makes it possible to know the degree of well-being of farmed fish to improve the production.
