New interuniversity master's degree in Semiconductor Engineering and Microelectronic Design with the collaboration of IMB-CNM
With the strategic collaboration of the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM) of CSIC, the new interuniversity master's degree in Semiconductor Engineering and Microelectronic Design is born, coordinated by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech (UPC), with the UB, UAB and URV.
IMB-CNM researcher Consuelo Guardiola leads a new project of the ”la Caixa” Foundation for the development of sensors for FLASH radiotherapy
César Fernández-Sánchez, researcher at the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM, CSIC), participates in another project focused on the development of a tool for the mass diagnosis of malaria, led by the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute. The ”la Caixa” Foundation promotes research in biomedicine and health in Spain and Portugal through a call funded with 25.3 million euros.
Guided tours and stories about Silicon Valley at Science Week 2023
Two workshops, three guided tours, an exhibition and a guest lecture were the activities programmed during the great outreach event, held between November 13 and 20. The event is promoted by the Fundació Catalana per a la Recerca i la Innovació (FCRi) in Catalonia and, statewide, by the CSIC itself.
Researchers Tomás Palacios and Christian Bergaud join IMB-CNM's Scientific Advisory Board
CSIC appoints Palacios, professor and lecturer at MIT, and Bergaud, researcher at the French LAAS-CNRS, as new members to supervise and advise on the scientific activity of the Institute of Microelectronics in Barcelona; replacing Elvira Fortunato, current Portuguese Minister of Science, and Florin Udrea, from the University of Cambridge.
